Yoga is like music: The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind and the harmony of the soul to create a symphony of life.

About Maria

Maria discovered yoga after experiencing anxiety while in college.

A friend recommended they try a yoga class together at a local art center. After one class, Maria was hooked. She found that while controlling her breathing by connecting the breath to movement, she was able to slow down her mind. As a result, she was able to control her anxious thoughts.

That winter, Maria enrolled in a teacher training program at the Integral Yoga Institute in New York City.  With many trainings under her belt, including Prenatal yoga, and Meditation at Ishta Yoga, as well as certifications from Thai Massage Sacred Bodywork, Maria developed her unique method of healing.

Maria’s method is based on a combination of yoga and bodywork that focuses on pranic awareness, which is how we use the breath to move the energy throughout the body.
